How can I change the habit of always wanting to give up halfway through tasks?

Change your focus. Change from a goal-oriented mindset to a growth-oriented mindset.
Don’t be so focused on the result that you disregard the growth you are making.
Give yourself the benefit of the doubt. Just believe, even though the belief isn’t backed by results yet, even though the belief isn’t backed by science or human logic, even though the belief isn’t backed by someone’s words. Believe, believe that if you keep on doing this it is going to happen, that the task is going to be completed.
Focus on what you can learn from this process, the journey, and the growth.
Be more obsessed with growing than getting the goal.
And embrace the identity of someone who gets it done, who finishes.
Even though it gets tough, even when you don’t see the value in it, just stick with it.
You started so finish. You have gone this far, you began, so, therefore, as a result, FINISH.
